German powerhouse Bayern Munich on their way towards playing the dreamfinal in front of their homecrowd on 19th May, they have beaten the Spanish giant mighty Real Madrid by a 2-1 margin in the first leg of the semi stage of UEFA Champions League at Allianz Arena, Munich lastnight. The Spanish giant Real Madrid is the most successful tream in UEFA Champions League history they have the record of nine times winning this trophy, which is an alltime record in Champions League history while Bayern Munich also won the crown four times. But whether two teams meeting in UEFA Champions League history concern Real Madrid won almost everytime the met before, out of nine times Real won eight times while Bayern managed to win once only.

The Bavarians were a bit off color in front of their homecrowd from the beginning of the game while the visitors were in a do-or-die mood from the start. The hosts should have a penalty advantage when Sergio Ramos obstructed Frank Ribery in the 9th minute of the game, referee denied the homeside. An ominous silence gripped the Munich crowd as the Liga leaders grew in confidence, but their fear turned to elation on 17 minutes as Ribéry slammed in the opener with a low shot after Madrid had failed to deal with Toni Kroos' left-wing corner. The goal visibly calmed Jupp Heynckes' side and though Cristiano Ronaldo went close with a trademark free-kick shortly afterwards, it was the Bavarian club in the ascendancy heading towards the interval.

After the restart of the game the Spanish side became die-heart to equalize the game, they got the result, Jose Mourinho’s side capitalised on a misjudged clearance by David Alaba to outnumber the Bayern defence. Neuer did well to deny Ronaldo in the first instance, but Madrid retrieved the loose ball and, though Benzema scuffed his shot across the face of goal, it fell kindly for Ronaldo to turn back inside and Özil duly levelled from close range in the 53rd minute of the game.

In the 60th minute of the game Jupp Heynckes introduced Thomas Muller in the place of Bastian Schweinsteiger, then the midfield became active & started to move like an well oiled machine. The Madrid goalkeeper was eventually beaten again in the 89th minute as Gomez slid in to convert yet another Lahm delivery and edge the Bundesliga giants a step closer to the next stage. The Bavarins will go into next Wednesday's second leg at the Santiago Bernabéu confident of returning to their home ground for the final on 19 May.
