Kolkata giant Mohun Bagan will take on another power house from Kolkata,
Paryag United tomorrow on an I-League second round encounter at Salt Lake
stadium, Kolkata.
Since last few years we have been noticing the face that Prayag United
established themselves as the third giant of Kolkata just after Mohun Bagan
& East Bengal, pushing Mohammedan Sporting aside, especially in this year
they have made a star studded side so according to the merit of both the sides
it has to be told that Kolkata is going to eyewitness the first derby of the
season tomorrow.
According to the performance Prayag United is in the superior position
currently, they have thrashed Air India in their first round by a formidable
5-1 margin while the mariners have lost their away match against the minnows
Lajong FC by 0-2 margin.
Prayag is in a very good condition, their team is enough balanced under
the supervision of Sanjay Sen, good management lead by Nabab Bhattaerjee, they
have good players in every department, feel good environment is going on
everywhere in their dressing room.

Undoubtedly this match is going
to be an acid test for current Mohun Bagan coach Santosh Kashyap & the
officials lead by Anjan Mitra & Debasish Dutta, since last one year the
Mariners couldn’t beat the Pink powerhouse anywhere so every Mohun Bagan
supporters are eagerly eyeing towards this match. A win for Mohun Bagan can
give lifeline to the entire unit of officials alongwith the coach or else the
entire unit have to prepare for the worst ahead.

In the other hand Prayag United have the current best striker of the
country Ranti Martins in who scored a hat-trick in their opening campaign
against Air India & since last two I-League who became the top scorer of
the country. He has shown his ability in penetrative zone in last match it’s
time to see how the weak defenceline of the Green & Maroon brigade defend
sensational Ranti Martins throughout the match.
