Football crazy city Kolkata is going to have the
taste of real samba while a senior & retired Brazilian side will participate
in an exhibition match with IFA All-Stars just one day before the Kolkata derby
at Salt Lake stadium in Kolkata tomorrow. The kick-off is at 2 pm.
The
Brazilian Masters side is here to play on the request of honourable sports
minister of West Bengal Mr. Madan Mitra & Omnibus, the event management
company is the chief organizer of that match.
1994
World Cup winning Brazilian captain Dunga will lead his side, he would be accompanied
by his 1994 mates Bebeto, Mauro Silva, the other players would be in the like
of 2002 World Cup winner & ex Real Madrid superstar Roberto Carlos, Juninho,
Violla, Zinho, Edmilson, Zetti, Cesar, Aldair & Caio Felipe. The superstars
like Dunga, Roberto Carlos, Bebeto, Juninho & Mauro Silva already arrived
in the city.
While
the Columbian ace goalkeeper Rene Higueta will lead the IFA All-Stars side, ex
Mohun Bagan superstar Brazilian Jose Ramirez Barreto & Indian tennis legend
Leander Paes will take part for the IFA side. The former legends of Bengal
football will participate that game for IFA side also.
The
exhibition game is titled “Angel Agritech Cup” although these Brazilan superstars
are well into their retirement, they have agreed to play for full 90 minutes,
if the match remain in a stalemate after 90 minutes, the winner would be
decided by penalty shootout following that, there wouldn’t be any extra time
added.
Honourbale
sports minister Mr. Madan Mitra added that his ministry would try to appear all
those superstars in the Salt Lake stadium once again during the mega derby of 9th
December. In between those legends will also engage themselves in different
social & charitable activities during their stay in the city.
