Barcelona vs PSG, 1st leg encounter of Champions League ended 2 all stalemate.

Barcelona ended with a 2 all draw in their UEFA Champions League first leg away encounter against big spending Paris Saint Germain played at Parc des Princes stadium in Paris lastnignt.

Due to a last minute goalkeeping error of Victor Valdes the hosts managed to make a draw at the end in a match in which Barcelona almost secured their victory.
Lionel Messu angled the ball from a typical angle inside the hosts net in the 38th minute of the game, put the visitors 1-0 ahead, Zlatan Ibrahomovic controversially equalized for the homeside from a rebound at the 79th minute of the match, Xavi put the visitors ahead once again from a penalty in the stoppage time, only for Blaise Matuidi to make it 2-2 for homeside in the dying moments of the game.
Surprisingly David Beckham started in the PSG’s first eleven form the beginning minutes of the game which is his 107th appearance in the Champions League where he appeared after a gap of 3 years.
He was making only his seventh appearance — and third start — after swapping the west coast of America for a western suburb of Paris.
Tito Vilanova, who had done his salvia gland cancer surgery in USA, returned in the Barac’s bench after a long gap.
However PSG started to play an attacking display of football from the beginning minutes, they had their chances in the very early minutes of the game while a poor clearance attempt by Sergei Busquets deflected by the post in the 6th minute of the game, they dominated the first 15minutes of the game.
The visitors started to take control after 15 minutes, the Brazilian sideback Dani Alvez lead all the attacks in the opponent box from the right side, even the goal of Lionel Messi is the fruit of that, Dani Alvez lobbed a ball from the right corner targeting Messi, who didn’t make any mess to guide the ball into the opponent net, eventually which is his 57th goal of the season.
Messi had a hamstring pull just after the goal which forced Tito Vilanova to replace him during the halftime period.
He was replaced by Cesc Fabregas upon the restart, and a Barca statement released during the second half confirmed he will undergo tests on Wednesday to determine the extent of his injury.
Dani Alvez remain instrumental throughout the match, Alvez went close to a goal of his own when he curled a free-kick just wide before Mascherano chopped down Menez to also earn himself a ban.
While Barcelona will start their 2nd leg with 2 priceless away goal advantage at their home Nu-Camp next week then PSG will also have the chance to qualify for the next round after winning their away encounter.
