Wigan Athletic won the FA cup, beating Manchester City by 1-0 margin in the final.

Wigan Athletic won the FA Cup against Manchester City in the final by a stoppage time decider, scored by Ben Watson, eventually this is the first ever major triumph in Wigan’s 81 years history while last year’s EPL champion Manchester City failed to salvage their pride in their last chance of this season after their early exit in Champions League.
Eventaully this is Wigan’s first ever FA Cup final and at the very least they're aiming to make sure it doesn't go the same way as their previous appearance in a major final, when they were beaten 4-0 by Manchester United in the League Cup
in 2006. But that was in Cardiff. This is Wembley and they've already got experience of winning at Wembley, having beaten Millwall in their semi-final last month.
City boss Roberto Manchini now has to face such questions that how his side slipped in the final within 12 months after winning their first Premier League title in 44 years & two years after winning the same FA cup.
Stories emerging that City are poised to replace Roberto Manchini with Malaga’s Manuel Pellegrini, who guided his side in the last 8 stage of the Champions League this year.
Pablo Zabaleta becomes the third man to be sent off in FA Cup final and Manchester City are down to 10 men in the
84th minute of the game. Vincent Kompany was played into trouble by a square pass from Clichy, who knocked it into the centre circle where Kone was waiting. Kone got there first and shuffled it through to McManaman. His touch was heavy but he beat Zabaleta to the ball 30 yards from goal and was sent flying. He wasn't the last man but he was on a booking. Out came the yellow, then the red.
Then Wigan became desperate to take the one man advantage & went allout for the necessary goal which they finally got from a corner in the stoppage time.
Maloney whipped the corner to the near post and Ben Watson darted in front of Rodwell and glanced a brilliant
header past City custodian Joe Hart and into the far corner inside the post. With this goal  Ben Watson, has surely won the FA Cup for Wigan Athletic because there was not much time left for the City boys to equalize the game, wrote himself into Wigan folklore by stunning a rain-soaked Wembley.
