Officially it couldn’t be said that India's run in AFC is ended yet but in reality its almost over for India

India made a disastrous start to their AFC Challenge Cup mission by loosing their inaugural match against Tajikistan today in a group B encounter at Dashrath Stadium, Kathmandu , Nepal. Khamrakulov Akhtam scored the first goal for Tajikistan in 60th minute Davronov Nuriddin doubled the lead for Tajikistan in 66th minute. Lasttime in AFC final 2008 India defeated the same team in a decent 4-1 margin, Chhetri scored a hat-trick. Lack of vision of AIFF is once again bared, or else why Savio Medeira is appointed as a coach for Indian national team & why Sunil Chhetri have the captain’s armband whether Syed Rahim Nabi is in the team ? Poor strategy of Savio Medeira is once again flopped, defence combination wasn’t good enough, there was not any link found today between the midfield & the forwardline. Officially it couldn’t be said that our run in AFC is ended yet but in reality its almost over for India. Now India will take on Philippines in the next match in Sunday. In another match at Halchowk Rangasala, Kathmandu, North Korea defeated Philippines in a 2-0 margin, Nam-Chol Pak and Kuk-Chol Jang scored for North Korea.
